Your saved places
Saved places stay in your browser’s local storage on this device. We do not create an account or send your saved list to a server. Remove individual places from “Saved places,” or clear this site’s browser data to remove the list. Private browsing or browser storage restrictions may prevent saving.
Search, maps and hosting
Search and directory filtering run locally in your browser. Directory filters appear in the page URL so you can share them; opening or reloading that URL includes those terms in the request to our host. This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics scripts. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process technical request data, such as IP addresses and requested URLs, for delivery, reliability and security.
The embedded map is provided by OpenStreetMap. Loading it sends a request to their servers. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy. External websites have their own privacy practices.
Where the information comes from
- National Weather Service: hourly forecasts for Vancouver. Forecast values are predictions, not observed temperatures. The forecast valid time appears on the dashboard.
- U.S. Geological Survey, station 14144700: Columbia River stage and flow at Vancouver. Readings may be provisional and revised. Stage is relative to the gauge datum, not water depth. Flow and stage may have different observation times.
- NOAA National Water Prediction Service: the linked river forecast and flood outlook.
- U.S. Census QuickFacts: figures for Vancouver city, Washington. Population uses the July 2025 estimate; household, income and commute figures use 2020–2024 survey data. Income is expressed in 2024 dollars. This is not a live statistics feed.
- Events and local updates include dates and links to their original publishers. Event times are Pacific; check registration and availability with the organizer before attending. Events disappear after ending or if not reverified within 14 days. The recent news collection covers 30 days from publication.
- Business listings include an official website and the date details were checked. Listings do not indicate whether a business is open now. Neighborhood and area labels include nearby Clark County communities outside Vancouver city limits.
Weather and river requests are cached briefly. If a source is unavailable or its data is too old, the dashboard says so and retains a link to the official source. Visit official weather and river services for alerts and emergency information.
